RIP: Charlton Heston

Saturday the movie industry lost one of the greats. Charlton Heston, 84, passed away.

Known most famously for his role as Moses (The Ten Comandments) and Ben Hur (Ben-Hur), in which he won an Academy Award.


More recently he has been known for his gun-rights advocacy and headed the National Rifle Association.

Among other roles, he has tackled many heroic and epic characters in Julius Caesar (Marc Antony), Antony and Cleopatra (Marc Antony), The Agony and the Ecstasy (Michelangelo), The Greatest Story Ever Told (John the Baptist), and Planet of the Apes.

RIP: Heath Ledger (28)

Heath Ledger died two weeks ago yesterday in his apartment in Soho, New York.
RIP Heath Ledger (April 4, 1979 – January 22, 2008)

His last film ever made The Dark Knight, the sequel to Batman Begins, will be released this summer.

He is survived by his family and 2 year old daughter, Matilda.

UPDATE: Toxicology report came back and ruled Heath Ledger’s death as accidental, by the deadly combination of the six medications he had been taking. Hopefully now he can rest in peace.
